The project funded under the Regular Infrastructure Fund for Fiscal Year 2023 has a 504-meter-long rubble concrete revetment with anchorage.

It also has an embankment with mattresses, gabions, and spur dikes to prevent water inflow to residential and agricultural areas.

District Engineer Marifel T. Andes said that the project is geared towards protecting residents of Quezon from flooding.

“This flood control project is also aimed at protecting farmlands from flood-related damages because they are important in securing the livelihood of  farmer residents and in guaranteeing food supply to the community,” Andes added.
