Pasay City Mayor Imelda “Emi” Calixto-Rubiano and the Philippine Long Distance Company (PLDT) launched on Monday, July 1, the city government's single trunkline number, 888-PASAY or 888-72729, designed to streamline and enhance the services to the Pasayen̈os.
The event was held at Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
She said the new system replaces the multiple phone numbers of various city hall departments, offering a single access point for all citizen inquiries, concerns, and requests.
"We are committed to making our government more accessible and responsive to the needs of our constituents," Rubiano said.
She stated that the 888-PASAY single trunkline aims to improve service delivery and create a more efficient and citizen-centric government.
The mayor believes that the new system will pave the way for more effective collaborations and coordination with her constituents to address and resolve all their concerns.
Edwin David, Rubiano’s head of Information Communication Technology, said the hotline was launched to swiftly and efficiently respond to emergency situations.
