DAVAO CITY – Former President Rodrigo R. Duterte bared on Sunday, June 30, that he does not discuss politics with her daughter, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte.

Former President Duterte revealed this in a press conference in Tacloban City on why Vice President Dutere resigned as Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary.
“I do not know the reason why. I do not talk to my daughter, and I do not want to talk about it,” the elder Duterte said, adding that Vice President Duterte decides what is best for her.
Former President Duterte said they do not discuss anything, especially the Vice President's job. He added that he and his daughter are distant. He, however, did not elaborate.
The elder Duterte advised the Vice President not to run for president and hoped that she watched and listened to his press conference via SMNI in Tacloban on Sunday.
“They worry about Inday? Inday, do not run for presidency. If Inday is listening, avoid the presidency. Leave it to the greedy ones,” the concerned father said, referring to the Vice President.
Former President Duterte said there is no guarantee that the country will be better than what everyone has today, even if Vice President Duterte becomes president one day.
