Tagum City, Davao del Norte--Expect to see former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in future Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fairs (BPSF) like the one carried out here.

Arroyo, Pampanga 2nd district representative, bared in a chance interview Friday, June 7 that she's open to participating in future iterations of the traveling service fair.

"As I'm invited, yes [I'll attend again]," she told House reporters.

Arroyo's appearance here at the jam-packed Davao del Norte Sports Complex for the launch of the two-day BPSF was a huge surprise since this was her first time attending the event.

Incidentally, once the dust clears, the Tagum BPSF will have been the biggest out of all the 19 service caravans carried out by the Marcos administration so far in the entire country in terms of beneficiaries and assistance dispensed.

Some 250,000 residents are expected to benefit from P913 million worth of government services, cash, education, and livelihood assistance.

Arroyo, chairperson emeritus of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), acknowledged the sheer magnitude of the Tagum BPSF.

The leader of the House of Representatives, Speaker Martin Romualdez, led the launch of the BPSF here. He is one of the main organizers of the program.

"Congratulations to the people of Davao del Norte and Tagum City, and many thanks to President Marcos and Speaker Romualdez," Arroyo said.

It was the eight BPSF in the whole of Mindanao, next to Zamboanga City, Bukidnon, Agusan del Norte, Sultan Kudarat, Davao de Oro, and Tawi-Tawi.
