University of the Cordilleras graduate tops 2024 CPA licensure exam


BAGUIO CITY – A University of the Cordilleras (UC) graduate topped the May 2024 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examinations.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong congratulated Nicole Agoy Gonzales for her achievement.

"Nicole's exceptional achievement is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and the high quality of education provided by our institutions here in Baguio. Her success brings great honor not only to her family and alma mater but to the City of Baguio.”

 Gonzales' had a 90.83 percent rating, followed by Hazel Ann Concepcion from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Santa Mesa in Manila with the same rating.

Second was Joseph Camacho Mag-aso Jr. of Binalbagan Catholic College in Negros Occidental with a 90.50 percent rating and third was Shawn Luther So Chan of De La Salle University-Manila with a 90.33 percent rating.

Last year, another UC Accountancy graduate, Alexander Salvador Centino Bandiola Jr., passed the exam with an 89.50 percent rating.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said 3,155 out of 10,421 examinees passed the CPA licensure this year.
