The Philippine road cycling team has flown off to Kazakhstan to participate in the 2024 Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) Championships which begins Wednesday, June 5.

The squad, composed of riders from Philippine Navy-Standard Insurance, 7-Eleven-Cliqq by Roadbike Philippines, Excellent, D’Reyna and Go-for-Gold, boarded Asiana Air and will make a layover in South Korea before reaching Almaty for the weeklong tournament.

In the same event, Philcycling President Abraham Tolentino will be recognized with a Merit Award from the continental body for his contributions to the sport.

Joining the team are head coach Reinhard Gorante, and assitant coaches Virgilio Espiritu, Marita Lucas, Mark John Lexer Galedo and Joey de los Reyes.
