Filipino racer Michael Andaya is set to represent the Philippines in the Japan AUTOBACS GPR Karting Series rounds 3 and 4 at the Festika Circuit Mizunami on June 8 to 9.

The young driver will be backed by the Mercedes Young Driver Development Philippines and DRIFT MOTOR Racing Team in the karting conquest.

Andaya, 15, has only started taking interest in racing two years prior.

Since then, he has competed in multiple local and national events which eventually led him getting invited to compete in his first-ever international tournament.

There, Andaya is looking to take home his maiden international career medal and officially pursue racing beyond the local shores and bring pride to the Philippines.
