Man found dead on Caloocan footbridge


An unidentified man was found dead on a footbridge in Caloocan City on Sunday, June 2.

According to the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS), the man, estimated to be between 40 and 50 years old, was wearing a red shirt, shorts, and red slippers. He was discovered at 7 a.m. on the EDSA A. De Jesus footbridge along EDSA Southbound in Barangay 87, Caloocan City.

Based on the police report, a concerned citizen approached CCPS personnel regarding the incident.

Operatives immediately proceeded to the area where they found the lifeless man.

Two witnesses, identified as Alfredo Aguilar, 68, and Jaycee Doctor, 41, who live around the area said that the man whom they identified as alias “Pogi” appeared to be distressed for some unknown reason.

Police said that they will conduct a follow-up investigation to identify the man and to locate his relatives.

The man’s body was taken to Ezequel Funeral Service for autopsy, the police added.
