San Miguel warns jobseekers about hiring scams

San Miguel Corp. (SMC) has warned the public regarding fraudulent schemes that promise job opportunities within the company and its subsidiaries in exchange for payment.

In an advisory, SMC’s Corporate Human Resources (CHR) said that neither the conglomerate nor its affiliated companies require any form of payment, such as processing fees or medical fees, during the recruitment process for various job openings.

“Please do not entertain any text messages, emails, or other forms of communication that require payment of any amount to process your application,” the company said.

SMC said that there are individuals posing as employees or representatives of San Miguel, running scams that falsely guarantee employment in exchange for money.

The company clarified that career opportunities within the group are posted on the San Miguel group’s website.

SMC, meanwhile, urged the public to report any suspicious activity to [email protected].
