Robinsons Bacolod, the first full-service shopping mall in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, is undergoing an exciting redevelopment. With 27 years of history, this iconic destination is set to transform, promising an enhanced shopping and leisure experience to rekindle the enthusiasm of its loyal patrons and attract a new generation of mallgoers.

Notably, Robinsons Bacolod will remain operational during the redevelopment, allowing patrons to continue enjoying their favorite shops, restaurants, and services.

Since its opening in 1997, Robinsons Bacolod, also known as "Rob Bacolod," has been an integral part of Bacolod City's heritage. Located along Lacson Street, the mall has served homeowners, students, and groups seeking entertainment, food, and fun. It has also supported local entrepreneurs and hosted popular events like the MassKara Festival, one of the biggest festivals in Visayas.

The redevelopment, expected to be completed by June 2025, will introduce a modern, sophisticated look while maintaining the nostalgic charm that long-time visitors cherish.

The revamped Robinsons Bacolod will feature an “industrial luxe” design, blending metal, glass, and wood to create a contemporary yet warm ambiance. The new facade will open the mall to the street, showcasing its vibrant activities and new dining options. Highlights include a new chapel for serene spiritual reflection, upgraded VIP cinemas, art deco-inspired designs, and Eat Street, a colorful dining area with diverse options, pocket gardens, and natural light.

Robinsons Malls VP for Operations and Marketing Joel Lumanlan said that the transformation of Rob Bacolod will uplift the bond with Bacolodnons. “Upon completion, Robinsons Bacolod will celebrate its rich history and step into an exciting future, reinforcing the bond with Bacolodnons,” Lumanlan said.
