PRO-Cordillera nets 36 wanted persons


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera reported that  36 wanted individuals were arrested in the Cordillera region from June 21 to 27.

The Baguio City Police Office caught 14, the Benguet Police Provincial Office, 13; Kalinga PPO and Mountain Province PPO, three each; Ifugao PPO, two, and Abra PPO, one.

Five were most wanted persons, four on the municipal level and one on the provincial level.

Fifty-nine municipalities and three police stations in Baguio City were crime-free.

Zero crime incidents were recorded in 24 municipalities in Abra, 10 each in Benguet and Mountain Province, seven municipalities in Ifugao, five municipalities in Kalinga, and three municipalities in Apayao.

In Baguio City, Police Stations 4, 5, and 7 were peaceful.

The PRO-Cordillera said there was a significant 34.09 percent decrease in the Peace and Order Indicator (POl) and 0.79 percent decrease in the Average Weekly Crime Rate compared to the same period last year.

The PRO-CAR recorded a 62 percent crime clearance efficiency and 55 percent crime solution efficiency which it said underscored the dedicated efforts of law enforcement in crime prevention and resolution.
