The meeting between Yang Hyun-suk and 2NE1 lasted for about two hours.

“Director Yang warmly welcomed the four 2NE1 members one by one, and the official meeting, which lasted about two hours, was a place where very meaningful and meaningful conversations took place,” according to YG Entertainment, Korean media outlet Osen reported.

The report stated that the meeting is drawing more attention as it is not a private meeting outside but an official meeting when 2NE1 visited YG’s new building for the first time.

According to the report, considering that the members visited Yang in person to commemorate the 15th anniversary of their debut, it is highly likely that 2NE1's new project will proceed.

"As Yang and 2NE1 members met and talked for the first time in eight years, no specific plan has been made yet, but Yang, who has a special affection for 2NE1, heard the members’ requests and sympathized with them, so we look forward to delivering good news to fans soon," according to YG Entertainment.

2NE1 debuted in 2009 but in November 2016, YG Entertainment announced their disbandment.

They released their farewell song “Goodbye” on Jan. 21, 2017.
