Pedicab driver hacked dead in Quezon

SAN FRANCISCO, Quezon â€“ A 49-year-old pedicab driver was hacked to death in Sitio Hacienda, Barangay Inabuan here on Monday afternoon, June 24.

Police identified the victim as Noel Pines, of Barangay Gawayan 2, this town.

Pines was driving his pedicab on his way home when the suspects Aquilino and Dennis, both farmers and residents of Barangay Inabuan, appeared and hacked him multiple times in the body.

They fled and Pines was taken by responding policemen to the San Francisco Municipal Hospital where he was declared dead.

Police said old grudge is the motive in the killing.

Lawmen are pursuing the suspects.
