10 hurt in Quezon road crash

ATIMONAN, Quezon – Ten persons were injured when the passenger van they were riding in crashed in Barangay Balubad here on Monday afternoon.

Police said the rear tire of the van driven by teacher Roel Jablizo burst.

Jablizo lost control of the vehicle which hit a hilly portion of the roadside and rolled.

Six occupants were reportedly thrown out of the vehicle. 

Aside from Jablizo, police identified the other injured as Mamerto Achondo, 61; Jocelyn Soryao, 54; Roben Qafallas, 30, manager; Jose Villano, Vanessa San Juan, Lito Buendia, 51, accountant; Emma Buendia, 44; Emerzon Llegardo, and Abajando Felin.

They were taken by the Atimonan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office to the Doña Marta Memorial District Hospital here.
