Man high on shabu dies of heart attack during drug den raid

TACLOBAN CITY â€“ A man high on shabu died of a heart attack during a drug den raid in Ormoc City, Leyte on Thursday, June 20.

The fatality was identified as Richard Landero, drug den patron.

Christopher Estrera, 42, the drug den operator; and drug den patrons alias Aileen P, alias Tito L, and alias Jhonny K, were arrested.

Estrera was fifth on the regional priority target of the Police Regional Office-8 drug watchlist.

He was arrested after a police poseur-buyer bought a sachet of suspected shabu worth P5,000 from him.

Authorities recovered over 150 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.5 million during the operation.

Estrera also yielded a .45 caliber pistol with seven bullets and a black coin purse with 29 sachets of shabu.

Found from Aileen P was three more sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P2,000.

Estrera admitted owning and using the illegal drugs recovered from him.

Suspects face drug and illegal possession of firearms cases.
