June 24 declared special non-working holiday in Tiaong, Quezon

TIAONG, Quezon – Monday, June 24, was declared a special non-working holiday in this town in celebration of this year’s BayaniJuan Festival.

Proclamation No. 608 issued by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on June 21 upon the request of Tiaong Mayor Vincent Arjay Mea said the holiday enables the people here to have full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration coinciding with the town fiesta in honor of patron Saint John the Baptist.

One of the highlights of the event was the recognition of the business sector and balikbayans or returning Filipinos who have immensely contributed to the economy of this town during the Pillars of Prosperity business excellence awards night on Friday, June 21.
