Woman dies from snake bite in Pangasinan

MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – A woman died from a snake bite in Barangay Taloy, Malasique, Pangasinan on Tuesday afternoon.

Police identified the victim as Dolores Fernandez, 52.

Investigation said the victim was gathering grass for her livestock in a field when she was bitten in the arm.

Fernandez was taken to a hospital as she was declared dead.

Residents and barangay officials are now tracking down the snake.

The Rural Health Unit reminded people to seek immediate treatment when bitten by snakes.
