Cavite convenience store robbed by ex-employee, cohort

CAVITE – Authorities arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the robbery-holdup of a convenience store in Amadeo on Sunday, June 16.

Amadeo Municipal Police Station (MPS) Chief of Police Maj. Gilbert H. Derla identified the suspects as alias Ricky and alias John, a former employee of the convenience store.

Initial investigation revealed that the suspects arrived at the store at 6:10 a.m., with alias John declaring a holdup and alias Ricky acting as his spotter.

Derla told the Manila Bulletin that alias John was familiar with the store personnel’s routine after having worked there before.

The suspects carted away P68,000 from the cashier.

Alias Ricky and alias John were arrested later that day in separate follow-up operations.

They are now under the custody of Amadeo MPS and were scheduled to undergo inquest proceedings on Tuesday, May 18.
