Binangonan Mayor Cesar Ynares led the “Kasalang Barangay 2024”, a barangay-based mass wedding ceremony that formalized the union of 30 couples.

Sponsored by Barangay Tatala, Binangonan Chairman Fermin Unida and his wife Elsa Unida with the support of the barangay council, the mass wedding was held to strengthen the family values in the community.

Mayor Ynares, who officiated the wedding ceremony at the barangay multi-purpose covered court, congratulated the Unida couple on their 35th wedding anniversary and for sponsoring the mass wedding.

"Marriage is a cornerstone of our society. By celebrating it collectively, we emphasize the importance of family and community," he said.

Municipal Administrator Russel Ynares highlighted the role of family and community in fostering a supportive and thriving environment in Binangonan.

The mass wedding, Administrator Ynares said, was not just a celebration of the union of the Unidas, but was also a testament to their dedication to their community.

Mayor Ynares said the Unidas have been pillars of public service and their enduring marriage serves as an inspiration to many in the community.

The newlyweds were feted in a modest reception provided by the barangay council.

Rizal Governor Nina Ynares, Congressman Jack Duavit, and former Governor Casimiro “Ito” Ynares, Jr. , Vice Mayor Boyet Ynares and the municipal council, all helped in ensuring the success of the event.

The wedding event was likened to a fiesta celebration as the villagers were invited to partake of the food at the reception.
