Eid al-Adha celebration a testament to Philippine’s rich cultural, religious tapestry, says solon

House Majority Leader and Zamboanga Representative Manuel Jose Dalipe on Monday, June 17, urged the country’s Muslim constituents to adhere to the spirit of the Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice which is a time of profound reflection, gratitude and generosity.

“It commemorates the unwavering faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) and reminds us of the values of sacrifice, compassion, and solidarity,” Dalipe said.

“In the spirit of Eid al-Adha, let us come together as a nation, united in our diversity, and committed to the principles of peace, respect, and mutual understanding,” he said.

“This celebration is a testament to the rich cultural and religious tapestry of our beloved country, and it is an opportunity for all Filipinos to foster stronger bonds within our communities,” added the lawmaker.

Dalipe said the celebration of this sacred festival should also be an opportunity for Muslims to remember those who are less fortunate and extend hands to help those in need.

“May this Eid bring joy, peace, and prosperity to every home, and may we all be inspired to act with kindness and humility in our daily lives. Eid Mubarak to all!” Dalipe said.
