Backstage: A cinematic take on emotional marketing

A class production hailing from Polytechnic University of the Philippines


Expect the grandest marketing event of the year from D' Au2nomous, a class production from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and recipient of the prestigious Agora Award for Marketing School of the Year. They proudly present their upcoming seminar, "Backstage: Unveiling the Emotional Spectrum of the Marketing Landscape."

Recognizing the similarities between marketing and theater, the class production created a theater-like seminar focused on emotional marketing. Both marketing and theater use storytelling to build meaningful connections with their audiences. When executed correctly, emotional marketing leads to successful campaigns. D' Au2nomous Production aims to uncover its intricacies, particularly how brands leverage emotions such as happiness, nostalgia, or sadness to influence purchasing decisions.

Esteemed marketing professionals will speak at Backstage, sharing their insights with the Madlang Marketistas.

The first topic, "Equipoise: Handling the Tightrope of Humor in Marketing," will explore the appeal of humor marketing among the Filipino market. This will be discussed by Edge Bonagua and John Theodosio, co-founders of Madman Creatives.

Alan Fontanilla, CEO and co-founder of The Pod Network Entertainment, will present "Ignition: Identifying the Market's Emotional Trigger." He will discuss SADvertising and how brands incorporate it into their emotional marketing campaigns.

Lastly, Apple Manansala, president of The New Channel (TNC), will cover how to measure emotional marketing campaigns in "Decipher: Unveiling the Metrics and Ethical Aspects of Effective Marketing Campaigns."

D' Au2nomous promises both knowledge and entertainment, with emotionally appealing performances from rising OPM artists Kat Jaranilla, Eclypse, and Jolianne.

Additionally, the class production believes that this event is a good opportunity to emphasize the importance of mental health, they invited Mental Health Hour Manila to shed more light and give perspective on the topic.
