Stell Ajero of SB19 gave his A'tin fans the moment they had been waiting for by releasing his highly anticipated solo debut single, "Room," at the Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan on June 14.

Prior to singing, Stell showcased his exquisite talent by performing a little acting stint. During the interview, he discussed his journey of creating his solo single with his fellow member, Pablo.

"Actually si Pablo talaga yung nag-initiate na gumawa ng song for me, and then he asked me kung anong style yung gusto ko and I know myself po na, I'm into this kind of style like Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars, but I want to incorporate it with Theatrical and musical genre," Stell said.

Stell's song surprised his fans, highlighting his comfort and confidence as a performer with SB19.

"This is Stell's room, where I can be myself and be confident and in this room. I can do whatever I want without hesitation, I can do a lot of things na hindi iisipin yung sasabihin ng iba," he added.

Stell said he was used to with his group but then got the opportunity to do a solo gig when he became a coach on GMA's The Voice Generation.

"When I start performing as a SB19 member, parang nafeel ko na agad na mas gusto ko silang kasama magperform, parang hindi ako sanay magperform mag-isa. But nung time na nagkaroon ako ng opportunity to express and expose myself nung sa The Voice Generations mas dun ko nafeel yung support nila [SB19] lalo,' he added.

(When I started performing as an SB19 member, I immediately felt that I preferred to perform with them, I'm not used to performing alone. But when I had the opportunity to express and expose myself in The Voice Generations, I felt their support even more [SB19])

Starting with this new release, Warner Music Philippines in partnership with 1Z Entertainment, Stell’s management, hopes to explore Stell’s artistry with songs that will continue to showcase his wide vocal range punctuated by his mesmerizing delivery, soaring high register, and heart-melting falsetto.

As a musician, dancer, actor, and host, Stell has a lot to offer and is dedicated to exploring all possible paths as a solo performer. He will collaborate with Warner Music Philippines and other artists who share his passion for music, transcending genres.

“At this stage of my life and career, I hope to continue releasing music that aligns with my true worth as an artist,” Stell noted.

Going into theater

Exploring his new opportunity as a solo artist, Stell also mentioned his interest in trying acting in a theater play.

"Super into theater talaga yung art ko, hindi lang ngayon even before lagi namin sinasabi na gusto namin mag theater," Stell said.

(My art is really into theater, not just now, even before we always said that we wanted to do theater)

He mentioned that he was supposed to audition for a theater play, but couldn't due to a scheduling conflict.

"Actually dapat meron, hindi ko lang alam kung pwede sabihin, dapat this month or next month magkakaroon na pero dahil nga sa schedule hindi kinaya. So, siguro hindi siya para sa kin, pero hindi mawawala yung heart for that," Stell said.

(Actually, I was offered to do one; I don't know if I can say it, but it should be this month or next. Because of the schedule, I couldn't handle it. So, maybe it's not for me, but I won't lose my heart for that.)

Stell will perform “Room” on GMA’s All Out Sundays, and an exclusive interview will air on Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho. Two days later, on June 18, Stell will open for Hitman David Foster and Friends Asia Tour 2024 concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

This will be followed by a North American tour in the US and Canada from June 22 to 30  as part of the MilEStone Tour of Erik Santos, where Stell is a special guest. On July 1, Stell will appear as a live guest on Wish Bus USA. On July 27 and 28, Stell will headline a Manila concert, Ang Ating Tinig, with Julie Anne San Jose.
