The job fair, held at SM Grand Central, offered over 5,000 job opportunities led by the city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and 50 participating companies.

Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan congratulated the newly hired jobseekers.

Sana ay paghusayan ninyo sa inyong bagong trabaho at tuloy-tuloy na ang tulong na maibibigay ninyo sa inyong pamilya (I would like to congratulate the Batang Kankaloo who were hired on-the-spot at our Kalayaan Job Fair. I hope you excel in your new jobs and continue to provide support to your families),” he said.

He also urged residents to join upcoming programs and job fairs organized by the city government.

We will have more job fairs and other livelihood programs for our citizens, so please don't miss the opportunity to secure decent and proper employment and income),” Malapitan noted.

The local chief then ensured his constituents that jobs and livelihood programs remain the top priority of his administration.

As I said, I hope that on this Independence Day, we remember that our fight for freedom is not yet over, especially against poverty. Therefore, we will ensure that all Batang Kankaloo have a decent income, not only to meet daily needs but also to live prosperously),” he said.
