High-value individual for illegal drugs, 2 others yield P408,000 worth of shabu in Makati

Members of the Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) confiscated a total of P408,000 worth of shabu from a high-value individual (HVI) and two other suspects in a buy-bust operation in Makati City.

Authorities identified the HVI as "Red Horse" and the two others as "Bebang" and "Tarek."

The suspects were arrested during a coordinated entrapment operation by Makati Police SDEU, Sub-Station 6 (Poblacion), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Bernardino Street in Barangay Guadalupe Viejo at around 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11.

Authorities were able to apprehend them after a police operative posed as a buyer and successfully purchased shabu from the suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were five pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, P1,000 used as buy-bust money, and P79,000 fake money.

The suspects are currently detained at the Makati Police Custodial Facility for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, the confiscated pieces of evidence have been turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit (SPDFU) for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
