3 men arrested in buy-bust operation in Taguig

Two construction workers and a driver were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on June 15.

The operation was conducted in Barangay Rizal by the Southern Police District (SPD) Drug Enforcement Unit, District Intelligence Division, District Mobile Force Battalion, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Southern District Office (PDEA-SDO), and the Taguig Police Substation 9.

The police identified the arrested suspects as alias Ron, 25, construction worker; alias Randy, 38, construction worker; and alias Allan, 42, driver.

During the operation, authorities seized two plastic sachets and a plastic bag containing suspected shabu, weighing 40 grams with a total value of P272,000, buy-bust money composed of P1,000 bill with 11 pieces of P1,000 counterfeit bills, and a cell phone.

The seized evidence will be turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.

The police will file a complaint against the suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) before the Taguig City Prosecutor's Office.
