Four months after the publicized split between actors Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque, Bea insisted that she did not initiate the breakup with Dominic.

"That's false. Hindi ako ang nakipag-break.  Pero huwag na nating pagusapan yun. Let's leave it in the past. It's amicable. Okay naman kami," said Bea to Kapuso entertainment journalist Nelson Canlas when asked who initiated the split during an interview for GMA News Interviews on June 13.

Bea added: "It would be disrespectful to the relationship and to the other person to talk about it. It's a very sensitive topic and gusto kong bigyan ng respeto at gusto kong iwan sa magandang paraan what we had."

Bea also admitted she was hurt by false narratives surrounding her separation with Dominic.

"Doon ako naapektuhan kasi maraming nag-spread ng false narrative about my life. When you're going to someone difficult, and you have other people narrating it for you in a different way, very different from the way you see it, and very different from the truth, sobrang sakit niya.

"It affects you kasi you want to go through something silently like a huge heartbreak. But it's another thing when you go through it in front of the public na iba yung narrative," said Bea.

During the sit-down interview, Ba was sporting a new look for the upcoming GMA series "Widow's War" with Carla Abellana, which will premiere on July 1.

"Definitely maraming learning. I am more adaptable to change. Sometimes, you have to let things flow, like things that are not meant for you or that are not permanent.

"But then you have to flow with it. Sabi nga nila, you cannot have what you don't have. Sabi nga nila, how can you love somebody else if you don't love yourself?" she also said.

Bea said that her priority these days is to love oneself. To destress, she goes to her farm in Zambales and meet her friends.
