CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police arrested in Subic, Zambales on Monday night a foreigner for allegedly kidnapping a compatriot in Makati City.
The suspect was identified as Wu, 35.
The Subic Municipal Police Station flagged down the suspect who was onboard a white BMW sedan with a companion for verification during a checkpoint.
However, the car sped away towards Castillejos, prompting a brief chase.
The vehicle was successfully intercepted in Barangay San Jose, Castillejos.
During verification, it was confirmed that the suspect and the vehicle were involved in a kidnapping incident earlier in the day.
His companion was identified as the victim Yi, 33, a Chinese residing in Malate, Manila.
The incident was recorded in the Makati City police Sub-Station 2 official blotter book.
Wu, of Davao City, Davao del Sur, was taken into custody by the Subic police along with Yi for further investigation.
