Las Piñas gov’t offers 'Libreng Sakay' on June 10-12

The city government of Las Piñas City has deployed service vehicles to help ferry passengers who will be affected by the three-day strike of transport groups Piston and Manibela.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the city government 's service vehicles were deployed as early as 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, to help ferry city residents going to their work places.

The “Libreng Sakay” will be offered until June 12, Independence Day.

The two transport groups called on the government to give unconsolidated jeepney drivers and operators one more year following the April 30 deadline for consolidation.

Las Piñas City's “Libreng Sakay” will start at 5:00 a.m. up to 9:00 p.m. and will serve the following routes:  Alabang – Zapote Road to Honda Daang Hari and vice-versa;  Padre Diego Cera Avenue from Zapote to Jollibee Kabihasnan and vice versa and in Marcos Alvarez Road from Lozada Market to Soldiers 2 and vice versa.
