"Sana yung mga sa inyo na nangangailangan ng tulong, huwag po kayong mahihiya, huwag po kayong magdalawang-isip. Lumapit po kayo sa mga local government, lumapit po kayo sa ating mga iba't ibang ahensya ng gobyerno (I hope those who need help, do not be shy, do not hesitate. Ask help from the local government, ask help from the different agencies of the government)," Marcos said in his speech during the distribution of assistance in General Santos City.

He urged them to reach out to the government in order for the latter to determine the kind of interventions it must provide to the people.

The President also reminded them to promptly claim the P10,000 financial aid given by Malacañang on Friday, adding that it is different from the help provided by other government agencies.

"Pina-aalalahanan po natin ang ating mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo na makipag-ugnayan sa inyong mga lokal na pamahalaan upang agad na makuha ang sampung-libong pisong tulong pinansyal (I am reminding our qualified beneficiaries to coordinate with your local governments in order to get the P10,000 financial aid immediately)," Marcos said.

He also asked them to use the financial assistance properly, and encouraged them to help the government in implementing its plans and programs.

"Gamitin po natin nang maigi ang mga ipinamahagi nating tulong ngayon upang mapag-ibayo ang inyong kabuhayan (Use the financial aid properly in order to improve your livelihood)," Marcos said.

The Chief Executive led the distribution of cash assistance worth P10,000 each to 30 beneficiaries from Region 12 or SOCCSKSARGEN (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Sarangani).

He also led the turnover of P10 million to the City Government of General Santos, P50 million to the Provincial Government of South Cotabato and P50 million to the Provincial Government of Sarangani.
