Iloilo cops net P1.3-M shabu


ILOILO CITY – A man out on bail for drug peddling was arrested in a search warrant operation in Pavia town, Iloilo province.

SUSPECTED shabu worth P1.3 million was seized in a search warrant operation in Pavia, Iloilo on May 7. (Pavia PNP) 

The suspect, alias Mon, was arrested last Tuesday night, May 7, in Barangay Mali-ao, and yielded suspected shabu worth P1.3 million.

The 36-year-old suspect was nabbed by the Pavia Municipal Police Station with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).

Police Col. Bayani Razalan, IPPO officer-in-charge, lauded the successful operation and the cooperation of residents in the arrest of the suspect.

“Congratulations on a job well done! I also thank the Pavia community for their continued trust and cooperation. We greatly appreciate your unwavering support for our intensified campaign against illegal drugs,” said Razalan.

The Police Regional Office-6 also cited the operation.

“I commend everyone who is involved in the implementation of this search warrant and the confiscation of the illegal drugs possessed by the subject. I encourage you to employ search warrant application and implementation in our campaign to include in our fight against loose firearms," said Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director.
