Bulacan police ops net 22 lawbreakers, armed robber

Fifteen drug peddlers, seven wanted persons, and an armed robber were arrested by the Bulacan Police in dragnet operations conducted on May 3 and 4.

Based on reports submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of San Rafael, Hagonoy, Sta Maria, Angat, Meycauayan, and San Jose Del Monte City police resulted in the arrest of 15 drug peddlers and in the confiscation of 37 sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and marked money.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for investigation and examination. Criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.

Seven felons wanted for various crimes and offenses were arrested by tracker teams of Bocaue, Pulilan, Norzagaray, Plaridel, Hagonoy, and Malolos City and were placed under the custody of the arresting unit and station.

Meanwhile, Alias Claren, 30, of Brgy. Lambakin, Bulacan, was arrested by operatives of the Marilao police for the crime of Robbery and Violation of R.A. 10591 at Prenza II, Marilao, Bulacan, at about 4:30 in the morning of May 3.

Recovered from the suspect was one cal. 45 pistol loaded with five live rounds of ammunition and one motorcycle.
