Two individuals were found dead inside their home at Barangay Greater Lagro, Quezon City on Wednesday night, May 1.
According to a television report, barangay officials and safety officers found the remains of a 72-year-old woman and her 37-year-old nephew.
Authorities broke into the house after noticing a foul odor and found the remains in the early stages of decomposition.
They said they received a report from the man’s co-worker that they had not received a response when they knocked on the house.
According to his co-worker, he had not reported back to work for several days after filing for a sick leave last April 25.
Probers said there were no signs of forced entry into the house and the victims’ personal belongings were all intact.
The investigation of the authorities is still ongoing.
