13 drug pushers arrested in Surigao, Agusan


BUTUAN CITY – Police arrested 13 suspected drug pushers during Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) in the Surigao and Agusan provinces on Friday, May 3.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft identified the suspects as Win, Mon, Bri, Que, Nel, Val, Del, Xer, Nic, Lon, Pau, Lito, and Jim.

The PRO-13 Regional Operations Division (ROD) said the Butuan City Police Office apprehended eight, followed by the Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Agusan del Sur PPO with two each, and the Agusan del Norte PPO with one.

Kraft said drug and drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspects who face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

He said the all-out war against illegal drugs in the Caraga region continues without letup.

“PNP-Caraga’s intelligence-driven and aggressive operations against illegal drugs have been intensified,” he said. “We can sustain the momentum through the continuous support and cooperation from every peace-loving Caraganon in our campaigns.”
