Muntinlupa LGU earns P4.6-B revenue in 2023; ranks 9th in NCR


The Muntinlupa City government earned P4.63 in revenues in 2023 to rank ninth among local government units in the National Capital Region (NCR). 

The  Bureau of Local Government Finance under the Department of Finance released the revenue data for NCR.

Muntinlupa generated P4.63 billion in revenue last year, marking a 13 percent increase in its Annual Revenue Income (ARI) from 2022. 

“We are in a crucial period of pandemic recovery. The significant growth in our revenue is a positive sign that our economy is on the right track. This growth enables us to enhance public services and better support our community,” said Mayor Ruffy Biazon.

He added, “We assure our constituents that every centavo is judiciously used to enhance social services and improve the quality of life for all Muntinlupeños.”

Here is the ranking of NCR LGUs based on revenue in 2023: 

1. Quezon City - P27.41 billion

2. Makati City - 19.36 billion

3. Taguig -  P13.54 billion 

4. Pasig - P13.13 billion 

5. Manila - P12.43 billion

6. Parañaque - P7.9 billion

7. Pasay - P7.35 billion

8. Mandaluyong - P5.76 billion

9. Muntinlupa - P4.63 billion  

10. Caloocan - P4.09 billion. 

11. Valenzuela City - P3.98 billion

12. Las Piñas - P2.52 billion

13. San Juan - 2.05 billion

14. Marikina - P1.58 billion

15. Malabon - P1.23 billion

16. Navotas - P1 billion

17. Pateros - P200 million
