DMW helps boost Filipino employment opportunity in Japan

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has organized a "Consultation Meeting on the Japanese Language Training Course" to enhance the proficiency of Filipino workers for employment opportunities in Japan.

DMW Undersecretary for Policy and International Cooperation Patricia Yvonne "PY" M. Caunan highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing language training and examination challenges.

"This meeting served as a valuable platform for open dialogue. By collaborating with all stakeholders, we can ensure Filipino workers receive the best possible Japanese language training, ultimately boosting their competitiveness for jobs in Japan," Caunan said.

Active engagement was observed from representatives of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine recruitment agencies involved in the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) and Specified Skilled Worker Program (SSWP), and language training centers nationwide.

Participation from the Embassy of Japan in Manila and the Japan Foundation Manila further enriched the discussions.
