Citizens' Battle Against Corruption (CIBAC) Party-list Rep. Eddie Villanueva has filed a resolution in the House of Representatives to honor the late Apostle Arsenio Ferriol, the chief executive minister of Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ (4th Watch).

Under House Resolution (HR) No. 1758, Villanueva seeks to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Apostle Ferriol.

Villanueva, founder of the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide (JILCW), expressed profound resolve for the late church leader’s unwavering dedication to his ministry, his exemplary leadership, and his profound impact on the spiritual lives of countless individuals worldwide.

Apostle Ferriol passed away on May 19 at the age of 88.

As cited in the measure, Apostle Ferriol developed resilience and survival skills through hard work despite growing up in poverty.

Inspired by the preaching of Silverio Diaz from the United Gospel Tabernacle, he shifted his aspirations from that of a lawyer to life-long preacher.

At the age of 23, Apostle Ferriol attended the newly-established Foursquare Bible Institute (FBI) in Sta. Ana, Manila. He would later graduate as valedictorian for the FBI class of 1962.

In 1973, Apostle Ferriol founded PMCC (4th Watch) with the aim of proclaiming to the public the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Under his leadership, PMCC grew significantly and expanded to a global ministry which has chapters in 70 countries,” Villanueva said in a statement.

The late church leader also led the establishment of a network of schools offering Christian education and instruction, including the Maranatha Bible School which was founded in 1975.

“As a testament to the late Apostle’s dedicated stewardship and faithfulness to God, PMCC celebrated its 50th anniversary last year,” the pastor-lawmaker said.
