P-pop girl group BINI couldn't help but shake off the witchcraft allegations against their latest song "Salamin, Salamin."

In a roundtable interview during Shopee's Summer Surprise Day launch at the Enderun Tent in Bonifacio Global City on May 28, BINI shared their thoughts on the recurring allegations.

"Hindi na po kami nakaka-open ng social media kasi sobrang busy po namin, ngayon lang po namin nalaman na may ganyan pala," BINI Jhoanna said.

(We haven't been able to open social media because we are too busy; we just found out that there is something like that)

In a Facebook post uploaded by an online page Follow Jesus Ministry, BINI was accused of spreading witchcraft music with their song "Salamin, Salamin."

"Let’s choose our music wisely to nurture our souls and to bring us closer to God. Beware sa mga Christian, preachers, pastors, ministers na walang nakikitang mali sa pakikinig ng mga worldly music. Salamin Salamin is a witchcraft song. Please wake up, church," the post wrote.

As of this writing, the post has garnered 7,200 reactions and 2,500 shares on Facebook.

Although the other members were unaware of the issue, BINI Colet shared that she had seen the post, couldn't help but laugh about it, and mentioned that she had seen more funny posts about their songs.

"Actually, nakita ko po yung post na yun, nakakatawa po, pero mas meron pa po nakakatawang post bukod dun. Natatawa na lang po kami kasi may nabubuo na po silang kwento sa mga kanta namin," BINI Colet said.

(Actually, I saw that post; it's funny, but there are even more funny posts besides that. We laugh about it because they are creating a story in our songs.

BINI Maloi confidently said that the claims are fake news and reiterated that "Salamin, Salamin" is a good song.

"Fake news po. Hindi po witchcraft ang ‘Salamin, Salamin.’ Maganda lang po ‘yung song,” she said.

(It’s just fake news. ‘Salamin, Salamin’ doesn’t promote witchcraft. The song is just nice)

"Salamin, Salamin" is the carrier single of their first EP, “Talaarawan.” This also includes tracks like “Karera,” “Pantropiko,” “Ang Huling Cha Cha,” “Na Na Nandito Lang,” and “Diyan Ka Lang.”
