The Alas Pilipinas women's volleyball team remains undefeated in the tournament.

The Nationals directed the game tempo throughout while taking advantage of the Taiwanese’s erratic plays to finish the group stage with a clean 4-0 win-loss record.

With the feat, the PH spikers arranged a knockout semis match against Kazakhstan, which took the second seeding in Pool B after finishing the group stage with a 3-2 card.

The other semis pairing pit defending champion Vietnam against Australia.

Eya Laure, who was rested in the Iran game on Saturday, May 25, returned with a bang and pumped in 15 points built on 12 kills, two aces and one block while Vanie Gandler continued to turn heads by whipping up 12 points including 11 from attacks.

Despite their latest feat -- eclipsing their previous showing of seventh place last year -- the Nationals have no plans of slowing down.

“We’re already here. We won’t stop working hard to achieve more in the coming days,” said Laure.

Chinese Taipei, the youngest team in the 10-nation tournament with an average age of 18 years old, finished its campaign with four defeats.

None from the Taiwanese crew scored in double figures with Hsu Fang-Min managing nine points.

The tournament takes a break on Monday, May 27, before the semis action fires off on Tuesday, May 28.
