BACOLOD CITY – Authorities arrested a farmer tagged as Western Visayas’ No. 4 most wanted person in Barangay 1, Ilog, Negros Occidental on Friday, May 24.
The suspect, 65-year-old Junior Villandro of Barangay Tabu, was wanted for murder and his warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 61 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on September 30, 2019.
No bail was recommended for the suspect.
Police Major Joseph Partidas, Ilog police chief, said the suspect was also tagged as No. 1 most wanted person on the provincial and municipal levels since murder is considered a heinous crime.
Partidas said the suspect was on the run for years until he was recently sighted in Barangay 1.
He said Villandro’s case stemmed from an incident involving an robbery suspect a few years ago.
