Asian Hospital and Medical Center unveils Florence Lim-Chan Nursing Simulation Lab

The Asian Hospital and Medical Center celebrated the blessing and inauguration of the Florence Lim-Chan Nursing Simulation Lab on the 7th floor of Tower 2 on May 21, 2024. This state-of-the-art facility is named in memory of the mother of philanthropist and Filipino music icon Jose Mari Chan.

Designed as a premier training ground for nurses, the lab enables them to hone their skills and expand their knowledge in a simulated, real-world environment. Equipped with the latest technology and realistic medical scenarios, the lab provides hands-on experience, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

The event was graced by Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon and distinguished guests from the healthcare and education sectors, highlighting the collaborative effort to enhance nursing education and patient care. Renowned healthcare professionals and medical education leaders expressed their support for the initiative and emphasized the importance of such facilities in improving healthcare outcomes.

During the inauguration, Jose Mari Chan shared heartfelt remarks about his mother, Florence Lim-Chan, whose legacy inspired the lab's creation. He thanked the hospital for honoring her memory in such a meaningful way. The ceremony included a ribbon-cutting, unveiling of a brass marker, and a tour of the facility, showcasing advanced equipment and innovative training modules for nursing students.

Gratitude was extended to everyone who marked this significant milestone. The event's success demonstrated the collective effort of hospital staff, donors, and community partners in advancing nursing education and patient care.
