Top cockfighters will battle in the second round of the elimination of this year's second edition of World Slasher Cup 9-Cock Invitational Derby on Friday, May 24, at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The derby's first elimination round featured 86 matchups with competitors having 2-0 records moving into the 3-cock semifinals.

Top fighters who will be competing in the semifinals are Jaime Lim, RBM/Hilbert Crisostomo, Engr. Nemencio Quimado/Doc Nilo Magtibay/Niño Lorenzo Tobiano, Rey/ Boy Nita/Haponesa, Boyet Plaza/Malvin Cordeta, Mike Romulo/Owen Medina, Aries Alvarez/Jun Durano, Felix Trebol, Nestor Mercado/Lito Orillaza, Raymond Dela Cruz, Bulldog, Frank Berin/Jaronila/Baby Boy Singson, and Balong/RSF.

Allan Villegas/Obet Bello, Joemarie Bantillo/Nico Rodelas/Rey Arenas, EP/Jimmy Rimando, Bobby Fernandez/ James Uy, and Presley De Jesus will also advance to the semifinals after scoring 1.5 points in the elimination round. Other fighters with 1-1 records will also move on to the next round after surviving the 2-cock elimination round.
