Senior citizen arrested for throwing rocks at parked vehicles inside Metropolitan Trial Court compound


A 69-year-old man was arrested for throwing rocks at parked vehicles inside the Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC) compound in Ermita, Manila on Wednesday, May 22.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Exuperio Dalaja, a resident of Barangay Bagong Tubig, Tagaytay City.

According to the police report, witnesses saw the suspects take two pieces of rocks from his backpack bag and threw them at a parked black Montero, damaging its rear glass worth P75,000.

Police said a gray Ford Everest was also affected and had dents and scratches on the hood. They said the extent of damages was worth P30,000. 

Witnesses sought assistance from the police. 

Authorities were able to recover the two pieces of hardened cement used by suspect.

Investigators said they are still determining the motive of the suspect.

The arrested suspect is currently in police custody and will face malicious mischief charges.
