Cops rescue Chinese kidnap victim in Pasay City, 2 captors arrested

Anti-kidnapping operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested two people tagged in the kidnapping of a 30-year old Chinese national in Pasay City last week.

Police Brig. Gen. Cosme Abrenica, director of the PNP-Anti-Kidnapping Group, said the victim was forcibly taken by the arrested suspects from a casino in Pasay City and was taken to a hotel.

PNP-AKG operatives were then sent to the area after receiving the report of the kidnapping.

Abrenica said the victim was rescued while two of his captors were collared during the operation.

The suspects are now detained at PNP-AKG detention facility and facing appropriate criminal charges, according to Abrenica.
