Baguio City — The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center currently has 125 projects in its pipeline with amount totaling over P3 trillion.
Based on the list from the PPP Center, there are 103 projects that will be implemented at the national level, while the remaining 22 are at the local level.
The big-ticket items include the upgrade, expansion, operations, and maintenance of Laguindingan Airport Project; New Bohol International Airport project; and the UP Philippine General Hospital Manila Cancer Center project.
Meanwhile, the challenge process for the 59.4 kilometers Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) Extension project has ended and is already awaiting the contract to be awarded.
On the other hand, the review process of the National Capital Region EDSA Busway project is set to end this year.
“They’re actually on the tail-end of their review process, we’ll be following up with them because DOTr needs to decide whether they proceed to the next stage or return the proposal,” PPP Center Deputy Executive Director Jeffrey Manalo told reporters.
The PPP projects that are also expected to be awarded this year or next year also include the Bislig City Bulk Water Supply, Bislig City Septage project, and the Negros Occidental Bulk Water Supply project.
Projects that are under the early stages of development projects include the operations and maintenance of the Metro Manila Subway Project operations and maintenance and North-South Commuter Railway; North Long Haul Inter-Regional Railway Project; and Iloilo-Capiz-Aklan Expressway.
Further, some of the unsolicited PPP projects that are under evaluation by the implementing agencies include the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the Bicol International Airport, Port of General Santos, Sayak Siargao Airport, C5 MRT 10 project, and Cebu Monorail Transit System Project.
