"Well, we hope so. Dahil, of course, kagaya ng sinabi ng isang (Because, of course, like what a) very wise statesman politician (said), politics is a game of addition. So, that is what we are hoping to achieve," Marcos said when asked if his party—Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP)—would partner with more parties ahead of the 2025 midterm elections.

However, the President said forming an alliance with other parties is not only intended for the upcoming elections, but also for a "stronger force for progress and peace and progress and stability in the country."

He agreed that "it’s very natural for people to think that this is being done for the midterm elections," but it is also "to formalize what already existed."

"We are trying to put together, once again, the team and that we’ll work together. And, this really derives from our original concept that progress will only come from unity," he said.

"But we are thinking of really is how to be more effective, how to be able to work better so that we can help each other try to achieve the same things," he added.

"But also, perhaps equally important are the connections that we make so that we’d become stronger force for progress and peace and progress and stability in the country," he also said.

Marcos also expressed confidence that they know how to handle possible differences in the future, particularly on choosing candidates to field in future polls.

"[A]s much as possible para maayos, gusto namin magkasundo dun nga kung sino ang tatakbo dun sa bawat lugar. So, that’s the— but every election ganun, e. Basta’t nagsama ang mga partido (we want to reach an agreement on who to run in every area. That's true every elections, when parties are in an alliance. So, we’re ready for that and we know how to handle it," Marcos said.

The Chief Executive, who also serves as the chairman of the PFP, led the signing of an alliance between the PFP and Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) on Saturday evening, May 19.
