Drug suspect yields P680,000 worth of shabu in Las Piñas sting

A man tagged by the police as a high-value individual (HVI) was arrested after he yielded P680,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, May 14, in Las Piñas City.

The suspect identified as alias Zaldo,41, was nabbed at around 5:00 p.m. at a food pPark in Barangay Zapote, Las Piñas City.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect was listed in the police gallery as an HVI allegedly due to his illegal drug trade.

The SPD said the operatives seized from the suspect 100 grams of shabu amounting to P680,000.

The confiscated shabu was turned over to the Forensic Unit for analysis.

The suspect is now detained at the SPD custodial facility and was charged with illegal possession of drugs.
