Tiangco welcomed the 20 beneficiaries during their orientation on Tuesday, May 14, wherein he emphasized the importance of cultivating good habits.

“By cultivating positive habits, we build good character that we will carry wherever our journey takes us. Through this, we also create a positive impact in our society. So, we should start strong from our first day at work,” he said.

The city’s Public Information Office (PIO) said the GIP was run by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in collaboration with the city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

The program gives young workers an opportunity to get involve in the field of public service.

The GIP interns were selected from a group of qualified candidates. They were the second batch of beneficiaries of the program this year.

The beneficiaries will work in the city government from May 16 to November 21, and they will receive a daily salary of P610, the PIO said.
