Nokia revives the 3210

HMD, the makers of Nokia phones banks on 90s nostalgia with the relaunch of the new 3210.  Back in the day, rocking one of these phones made you tech-savvy and a trendsetter.

The new 3210 has a more modern look, with a sharper and more colorful display.  Much like the original that was released in 1999, the addictive game of Snake is one of its notable features.

Of course, there isn’t a digital keyboard. Instead, you have the iconic number keypad, where you press the numbers repeatedly to input a single letter.  Remember the days when touch typing was a badge of honor?  One could successfully send messages without ever glancing at the screen.

HMD says the launch of this phone is a response to the growing demand for digital detox.

The new 3210 has a two-megapixel camera and up to 4G connection, so you’ve got pretty good coverage here.

If you are curious as to who would be interested in buying this phone, I’d say probably those who need less time on their phones.  Remember, there are no social media apps or games on this device. It’s also a good choice if you need a device that is strictly for communication.  A great option for staying in touch with a child, all without the worry of internet exposure.

Interestingly, Nokia has been reviving a couple of other phones that you may want to see for yourself
