Domingo assumes post as new Muntinlupa Police chief

The Muntinlupa City Police Station has a new chief. 

Col. Robert Domingo is now the acting chief of the Muntinlupa Police, replacing Col. Angel Garcillano who served in the position for more than two years. 

The turnover ceremony between Garcillano and Domingo was held on May 10 in a ceremony attended by Mayor Ruffy Biazon and Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete, the new director of the Southern Police District (SPD), at the Muntinlupa Police headquarters in Barangay Tunasan.

Before becoming the new Muntinlupa Police chief, Domingo served as the chief of the Eastern Police District’s  District Investigation and Detective Management Division (DIDMD); officer-in-charge, Manila Police District’s DIDMD; station commander in MPD; and chief, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Regional Field Unit in the National Capital Region (CIDG-RFU NCR).

Among his awards are the Medalya ng Katangitanging Gawa, Medalya ng Pambihirang Paglilingkod, Medalya ng Kadakilaan and Military Merit Medal. 

Domingo graduated with a degree in Bachelor in Broadcast Communication from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. 

He belonged to the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class of 1999. He has a Master in Public Safety Administration degree from the Philippine Public Safety College. 

“As for Col. Domingo, he has a pleasant disposition but I can see his drive to show that he is not one to go soft on crime. I think he will make an effort to match if not beat, the accomplishments of his predecessor. Snappy salute, Col. Garcillano! Warm welcome, Col. Domingo!” Biazon posted on Facebook on May 9.
