CAMP FLORENDO, La Union – A 40-year-old man drowned while swimming at the Amburayan River in Barangay Maria Cristina East, Bangar, La Union on Tuesday, April 30.
Police identified the victim as Dione Lacanlale, a resident of Barangay Bangaoilan West, Bangar.
Police said the victim, who reportedly was suffering from a seizure disorder, left his house and went to swim at the Amburayan River.
Residents found the victim floating and without his clothes on at about 1:30 p.m.
The victim was taken to the Rural Health Unit in Bangar where he was declared dead.
